This year the PECI senior boys soccer team, once again obtained fantastic results. The boys ended their regular season with seven wins and only one loss. They then competed in the Bay of Quite Championship and brought back a silver medal. The team had once again qualified for COSSA, but sadly lost in the semi-finals. The coach, Mr. Pickard said that the boys were fantastic and worked very hard and they “have nothing to be ashamed of” and it is “tough being COSSA champs three years in a row.” Some of the boys commented that the season started off well, but they were missing some of the key players that had graduated the year before. A player commented that he felt that “we couldn’t bury as many goals as needed”. Another player said that “our coach was the best” and that “we had a great goalie”, but he agreed that they just could not score as much as they needed to.
The junior boys soccer team, unlike the seniors, was a whole new team of people who had never played together. They had more difficulty coming together as a team and had ended their regular season with two wins and five losses. The coach, Mr. Pickard said that the team has a promising future.
