More than 130 new students were welcomed to Prince Edward Collegiate Institute during Grade 9 Day festivities Wednesday.
Teacher Greer Koutroulides said the day of fun and team-building stations welcomes Grade 9s and helps them to interact and get to know each other while having fun.
Students’ Council and the school’s Gd 11-12 Entrepreneurship class helped plan and organize events.
“There are 10 different events, all focused on team-building, communication, positive interactions with senior level students and having fun,” said Koutroulides. “They miss their recess, so it’s good to have time to get out and have some fresh air.”
Photographs from the day taken by teacher Rob Garden will be on display for Gd 9 Panther parents and guardians being welcomed to the school for Information Night Thursday, Sept. 14 beginning at 6 p.m.
