Picton Heights watermain/sidewalks project begins

Drew Harrison Haulage is commencing work on the Picton Heights reservoir watermain improvements and illuminated sidewalk project.
Construction work for the installation of new watermain on County Road 22 (Church Street) between Union Street and London Avenue began July 2 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
The following closures or lane reductions are anticipated:
Daily lane closure on County Road 22 (Church Street) from Union Street to Old Church Street
Full road closure on Old Church Street is tentatively scheduled for August 1 until October 4.
Daily lane closure on County Road 22 (from Old Church Street to 244 County Road 22) except for an eight-week period when one lane will be closed 24 hours per day.
The project includes the following work:
Installation of 1.2 km of new watermain from Union Street to the Picton Heights reservoir.
Extension of the existing sanitary sewer, storm sewer upgrades and replacement of the watermain on Old Church Street.
Construction of a new 1 km concrete sidewalk with street lighting connecting the London Avenue sidewalk to the sidewalk along the frontage of Macaulay Heritage Park. The new sidewalk includes two new signalized pedestrian crosswalks
