Primary Care Provider Chorus in song for Picton hospital

The lights on the tree at the front of QHC Prince Edward County Memorial shone brighter than ever Wednesday night. The Primary Care Provider Chorus entertained. Dr. Earle Taylor and Dr. LeRoy Hall lit the tree, with lights strung courtesy of Dan Claxton Electric, before the singing of Silent Night. The PECMH Foundation extends a heartfelt thanks to the PCP Chorus and all those who support medical equipment needs at Picton hospital. Silent Night

We Wish You a Merry Christmas

Mike Slatter, Poppy Committee member from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 78, Picton presents Don Stanton, president of the PECMH Foundation with a donation of $1,000 from this year's Poppy Fund to the PECMH Foundation's annual Christmas appeal. The funds will be used toward the purchase of an Argon Plasma Coagulator, a piece of equipment for our operating room that assists in colonoscopy procedures. QHC PECM is quickly becoming the centre of excellence for scoping in the area with more than 2,000 colonoscopies performed annually at the Picton site.

The big tree at the front of QHC Prince Edward County Memorial is seasonally festive thanks to Dan Claxton of Dan Claxton Electric Ltd. who graciously agreed to string the lights on the tree in time for the tree lighting ceremony Wednesday, Dec. 8. The hospital’s primary care provider chorus will lead the singing of Christmas carols before the tree is lit just after 6 p.m.  CHEERS! to Dan Claxton Electric, Bob Tolley for braving the wind and stringing the lights and UENS Pole Line Maintenance and Contracting for donating a truck able to reach the top of the tree.
