Police and firefighters’ bake-off raises $645 for hospital

Members of the Prince Edward County Agricultural Society presented $645 to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation. The money was raised at the Bake-Off Challenge held at this year’s Picton Fair. The Agricultural Society and the Foundation send CHEERS! to the Wellington and Sophiasburgh fire departments and the Prince Edward OPP for their participation and entries. Also to be thanked are the judges, Don Stanton, president of the PECMH Foundation, Don King, co-owner of Portabella Restaurant and Mary Everall, Auctioneer Creighton Carr as well as those who bid on a cake or pie.
