Pressure changes possible for Consecon water during upgrades
Administrator | Apr 26, 2020 | Comments 0
Beginning Monday, April 27, the Consecon water tower will be removed from service and the system will be transitioned to pressure mode operation until the week of June 15.
Work is not expected to impact water quality; however, users connected to the municipal drinking water system may experience intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water from time to time while work is underway. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter.
The municipality is undertaking upgrades to the elevated water tank located in Consecon.
This work is continuing as a critical infrastructure project as permitted under the Province of Ontario’s essential workplaces provision in response to COVID-19.
