Council congratulates County Farm Centre Novice Kings
The County Farm Centre Novice BB Kings were honoured by council Tuesday night with a certificate of appreciation after their OMHA Ontario East championship win against Collingwood last weekend. In a hard fought battle against the defending champions, the Kings shut out Collingwood in the final two games 1-0. Mayor Peter Mertens and councillor Kevin Gale presented the certificate on behalf of council and the municipality, noting how proud they were of this young team leading the way for such teams as the Picton Pirates and the Wellington Dukes.
