Record donations at Ostrander Point Appeal Fund Gala

Prince Edward County Field Naturalists report record donations from those who supported the second annual Gala Dinner and Art Auction held in support of the Save Ostrander Point appeal.
Saturday, April 12 at the Prince Edward County Curling Club, guests were served a delicious repast created by Chef Michael Hoy, and County wine, donated by the Prince Edward County Winegrowers and organized by Richard Karlo of Karlo Estates winery.
Treat Hull, as art auctioneer for the evening, dealth with 22 pieces of original art by County artists along with six bottles of imported wine donated by Ian Hanna of John Hanna & Sons Wine Merchants. Furious bidding on the art and wine helped along by Hull’s enthusiastic encouragement resulted in record donations to the Ostrander Point Appeal Fund. The fund has reached $154,000.
The next fundraising event, Pacing The Cage, is set for Saturday, May 3. The event includes never before seen live performances of songs from Bruce Cockburn’s 40 year plus catalogue of music. Click here for details. Seating limited.
