Reddick collects hat trick in Midget Kings playdown action

For a player who is focusing on basketball this season, Kings’ AP Taylor Reddick certainly made a big contribution on the ice Saturday night in Napanee, scoring a natural hat trick to help his Prestige Construction Midget Kings down the Stars by a 4-1 margin.
Reddick scored once in the first period from Jake Staley and Bob Wilson and twice in the second frame with help from Zac Brant, Staley and Bryce Vangrootheest.
The Stars scored with 1:24 left in the third to spoil Rick Holland’s shut-out bid in the Kings net, but Vangrootheest got some revenge at the other end with an unassisted goal just 19 seconds before the final buzzer. The win puts the Kings up two points to nothing in their six-point series versus Napanee with the next game scheduled for Saturday night at 9 pm in Picton.
