Reduced parking at Wellington beach during dredging
Administrator | Aug 28, 2020 | Comments 0
Parking at Wellington Rotary Beach will reach capacity earlier than usual on weekends and statutory holidays due to ongoing dredging work.
Parking has been significantly reduced as a portion of the beach on the east side is closed off, with work crews depositing material from the dredging of the Wellington channel.
When the beach reaches capacity, no additional vehicles or walk-ins will be allowed to enter the area.
The boat launch at Wellington Rotary Beach will remain open with limited capacity for boaters who have purchased a seasonal launch pass.
Dredging work is to continue until mid-September.
