Routine 424 Squadron SAR flare training

424 (Transport and Rescue) Squadron expects to be conducting flare training over Lake Ontario, south of Brighton and west of Prince Edward County starting at 9 p.m. Monday, June 26th until 1 a.m. Tuesday June 27th, and at the same time Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
In the area during this time, a CC-130H Hercules will be launching between four and eight yellow-white flares from an altitude no higher than 5500 ft. above sea level.
This training is in support of night time SAR missions and allows 424 (T&R) Squadron to practice night flying and spotting procedures.
