UPDATE May 31 – The search for Prince Edward County resident David Franks continues today.

While the OPP has asked volunteers not to search at this time as to not interfere with their investigation, residents and businesses in the area who have security or wildlife cameras are asked to review their footage following Thursday May 25th at about 2:30 am.

The family has created a Facebook page “Find Franks”.

Today, David’s sister Chelsea thanked people for their support.

“Thank you for helping us get the word out there.
Thank you to all those who have dedicated their time to search for my brother, David. I want you to know that I’m so grateful for all of you.

“Thank you to everyone who put in the hours walking in ditches and wooded areas and long county roads, to those who went out on their kayaks, atvs, cars/trucks and by foot to help cover the area. I’m sorry there wasn’t better luck with our search.”

The family states that 24-year-old Franks was last seen Thursday morning, May 25th, at 2:40 am leaving his family home on County Rd 28 for a routine jog.

He is described as 6’3”, 230 lbs, brown hair, and wearing dark athletic clothes in addition to steel toed running shoes, a 25lb weighted training vest and white headphones.
