Second death in region linked to coronavirus

A second death in Hastings Prince Edward counties has been linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data from the public health website indicates 38 cases in the region – 237 probable cases, and 170 noted as recovered. The first death was reported March 31.
As of Monday morning, Quinte Health Care reports one inpatient confirmed and 11 under investigation for COVID-19. There have been no new cases admitted in the past 24 hours.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health website shows the most cases, 21, are located in Belleville. It reports five to nine cases in Prince Edward County; one to four in Quinte West; one to four in Central Hastings and five to nine in North Hastings.
Seven cases are reported in health care workers while 12 are with long-term care or retirement home residents.
Ontario reported 437 new cases and 24 deaths Sunday for a total of 14,432 cases in the province, and 835 lives lost. There were more than 1,200 new cases reported across the nation. The national total records 46,895 cases with 2,560 lives lost.
