Motorists travelling on roadways near 8 Wing Trenton on Friday morning, Sept. 21, may see Wing members taking part in a security exercise near access points.
“These members will be carrying weapons and are conducting routine security training in line with Canadian Armed Forces force protection policies,” said Captain Trevor Reid, 8 Wing CFB Trenton Public Affairs. “Such training is an important part of maintaining readiness and preparation for a wide range of operations.”
Motorists are asked to follow directions of traffic control personnel when entering and leaving 8 Wing. There will be minimal impact to traffic patterns on and off base.
