‘Snow’ much weather watching

People are watching today to see how Environment Canada’s winter storm warning will stack up in Prince Edward County. In the last storm, the County came out relatively unscathed. The warning includes Belleville, Quinte West and Northumberland County, as well as for most of Southern Ontario.
Peak snowfall rates are to range between two to six centimetres per hour – mixed with heavy and blowing snow. Temperature today is to be -6, feeling like -17 with the windchill.
Local accumulation could be 20-30cm, possibly more, with the heaviest expected this morning and afternoon. Expect about 2-4 cm this evening as it continues to blow about. Windchill -15 this evening, feeling like -23 with the windchill.
Family Day Monday is expected to be cold and mainly cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of flurries.
