The County of Prince Edward is imposing a temporary reduced speed zone within the wpd White Pines construction area.
The reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will take effect on Tuesday, July 10.
· The reduced speed area includes:
o Along Murphy Road, from the turbine site to the Murphy Road/County Road 10 intersection.
o Along County Road 10 from the Murphy Road/County Road 10 intersection to the County Road 10/Royal Road intersection.
o Along Royal Road from the County Road 10/Royal Road intersection to the Royal Road/Lighthall Road intersection.
The municipality says the reduced speed zone is required due to oversized loads moving through the area and the various construction staging locations.
Reduced speed signs will be posted in the area.

Anyone looking to buy or build in South Marysburgh??
I agree Chris
A few weeks ago I followed a semi loaded with gravel up Lake St. Just to see how fast he was going I followed, I followed at 90 and never caught up. Followed to Old Milford road. Coming back to picton meet one of the countys finest. Those guys never seem to be concerned about anything unlawful
This is rich!! For several months dump trucks, many likely overloaded, have been racing around the south end of the County well over the speed limit. Not one ticket issued – not one truck weighed to make sure it was complying with load limits. Hopefully they will comply with these new speed limits!
