A warm sun and spring-like conditions Tuesday, turned into the dead-of-winter Wednesday. The good news is that though it will be cold at -16, the sun is expected to peek through Thursday morning.
However, heavy and blowing snow was forecast to taper off late Wednesday night as a winter storm warning was still in effect. Snowfall ranges from 10-25cms and blowing snow reduced visibility throughout the County.
Multiple vehicle collisions were reported all along Highway 401 and other highways. Power outages included 5,000 customers in Belleville and cancellations of events and programs were rampant.
