Taking time to remember

Elementary and secondary students, citizens, cadets and serving military members, and veterans, surrounded Picton’s cenotaph Friday morning for Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Following the bugle notes of the Last Post, wreaths were laid in remembrance and honour of those who gave their lives in the First and Second World Wars, Korean War and Afghan War.

“They shall grow not old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn;
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.”
