Tell MP Ellis what government should do about climate change, the environment

Neil Ellis, Bay of Quinte MP, making the announcement at Loyalist College.

Neil Ellis

This week, tell your MP what you think the federal government should be doing about climate change and the environment.

Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis will host a Climate Change and Environment Town Hall Wednesday night as part of the federal government’s public consultations on the development of climate change and protecting the environment in Canada.

MP Ellis will be moderating the town hall, will provide an introduction and then invite constituents to speak – for one minute – about each of the following topics in order:
1. How and where to reduce emissions
2. Ideas for new technology and job creation
3. How to put a price on carbon
4. Preparing for the impacts of climate change
5. General ideas on climate change reduction

This is not a question and answer style event, Ellis’ office noted, but one to offer constituents the opportunity to voice opinions on how the government should prioritize climate change action and items the federal government should consider.

Ellis’s office will submit the comments in a report to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

Meet Wednesday, Aug. 10 from 6pm – 7:30pm at the Wellington arena.
