Thousands drop their lines in 33rd annual Walleye World Fishing Derby

FISH ON! Midnight rings in the 33rd annual Walleye World Fishing Derby weekend. In last year’s event, Picton’s Tara Pounder was thrilled to catch one of the elusive tagged fish. She weighed in her 2.88lb $1,000 fish at the Sunrise Cottage Resort station. Owners Dave and MaryLynn Ashton were delighted to present her the prize money at the wrap up ceremony in Trenton Sunday afternoon.
