Top Dogs at County Fair earn ribbons and prizes

Despite rainy weather, 16 exhibitors brought their furry best friends to the 2013 County Fair Dog Show.
Some of the dogs were new to the show, some were veterans. Milo was deemed Best in Show. He received a ribbon, a prize pack from Picton’s Pet Valu, and a trophy.
Winners will have their names engraved on the big trophy on display at Pet Valu. In addition, all exhibitors received grab bags from Pet Valu and winners received ribbons and prizes from Pet Valu, Robyn’s Nest and Spaw, Doggie Dungeon and Groom Room, Sue and Dean Eastbury and Mayhew Jewellers.

3: Longest Ears: Guinness
4: Shortest Ears: Itsy
5: Curliest Hair: Winston
6: Longest Tail: Seamis
7: Shortest Tail: Carmela
8: Most Unusual Looking Dog: Arthur
9A: Best Trick Performed by Dog and Child: Eska
9B: Best trick Performed by Dog and Youth: Guinness
9C: Best Trick Performed by Dog and Adult: Dexter
10: Best Costumed Dog: Lumen
11A: Best Dog and Owner Dressed in Theme, Child: Lumen
11B: Best Dog and Owner Dressed in Theme, Youth: Carmela
11C: Best Dog and Owner Dressed in Theme, Adult: Bella, Sophie, Molly
12: Youngest exhibitor: Eska’s Alexis
13: Oldest Exhibitor: Winston’s Bob
The Dog Show Cheers! all prize contributors, judges Tricia Daley and Sue Eastbury; volunteers who kept everything running smoothly: Carol McIntosh, Diane Marlow and Katherine Arcus.
“We also thank all the exhibitors and their humans who came out in the rain to participate and especially the spectators who lent a hand with the judging by clapping, whistling, shouting, and whooping so very enthusiastically when called upon,” said Fiona Patton associate director for the County Fair Dog Show.
