Part of Ross Street closed for sewer repair

Part of Ross Street Picton is closed to traffic Thursday, May 9 while the municipality repairs a sanitary sewer at Picton Town Hall.

The traffic disruption is expected to continue until 5 pm. The Ross Street entrance to Market Lane will be closed for the day.

Traffic disruptions on Picton Main and Bridge streets Wednesday

The Water and Wastewater Department will be repairing infrastructure on Picton Main Street between Agnes and Catherine streets (approx in front of Metro grocery store) on Wednesday, May 8 (updated).

Traffic disruption is expected between the hours 7 am and noon in the east-bound lane of Main Street. East-bound traffic will be directed around the work using the parking spaces to the south.

The parking spaces along this east-bound section of Picton Main Street will be unavailable during the work. There is to be no interruption to the west-bound lane.

Infrastructure repairs on Bridge Street between East Mary Street and Picton Main Street are also scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 between noon and 4 p.m.

The work will take place within the parking spots along the eastbound lane near 12 Bridge Street.

All lanes on Bridge Street will remain open, and localized traffic delays may be experienced for the duration of the repair. The parking spaces in front of 12 Bridge Street will be unavailable during the work.

Motorists are asked to avoid the construction areas if possible.
