Traffic alerts for Picton and the roundabout Thursday

The County water department will be at work along Loyalist Parkway, within the middle of the roundabout Thursday, Sept. 1 for most of the day. Traffic lanes will remain open but minor traffic delays are to be expected periodically on Loyalist Parkway and County Road 1.

Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of construction. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.

Sanitary sewer work on sewer holes throughout the town of Picton will begin on Thursday, September 1, at 7 am. These repairs are expected to continue into next week.
Expect minor traffic delays as repairs take place.

Traffic disruptions Wednesday


WEDNESDAY AUG 31:
Motorists heading into Wellington or to County Road 3 may find traffic disruptions.

The Water and Wastewater Department will be working on the sewar in the area of 105 Wellington Main Street for most of the day.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane around the site.

On County Road 3, crews will begin to lay asphalt in the first section of the project, starting at the intersection of Cty Rd 3 and Cty Rd 28, Reddick Street and spanning approximately 700 metres to the west.

The first phase of construction began in May and is expected to be completed by early December along this phase of the project which includes approximately 3.1 kilometres of roadway. Phase two is to begin next April.

The reconstruction includes pavement, widening to include bicycle lanes and the installation of new storm sewers and drainage.
