A powerful thunderstorm passed through the County early Tuesday evening. @Prince Edward County tweeted this dramatic photo of tree limbs fallen on the power lines on Wellington Main Street, near the Legion. The municipality is reporting that trees, branches and hydro lines are down throughout the County and that crews began clearing as soon as the lightning subsided. Firefighters and police are also on several scenes. Power was out to more than 9,600 County customers and 35,000 in the province. Some County residents are still without power and may be without until this evening.
