Two new positive COVID-19 cases in the County

UPDATE: The 49th case in the region was lab confirmed Tuesday, related to travel and affecting a resident of the Tyendinaga/Deseronto area.
Two positive COVID-19 cases confirmed Monday, Aug. 24 are from Prince Edward County.
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Communication Coordinator Karen La Rose confirms the two are related residents of the County who contracted the virus during travel outside the region. They are cases 47 and 48.
The Aug. 21 and Aug. 15 cases are listed as close contact for transmission, and were related to residents of Central Hastings.
The next previous cases, now resolved, were confirmed July 30 (travel), and May 18 (community transmission).
