Two new water stations ready for use

The County’s two new bulk water stations are ready for use. People using the units are advised to bring a connecting hose of at least 15 feet.

One unit is at the Wellington and District Community Centre, located at 111 Belleville St., Wellington. The other unit is at the Carrying Place Booster Station, 21651 Loyalist Parkway.

The dispensing units have 1” connections and will be coin operated. The discounted bulk water rate, set by council on August 11, 2016 is $3.07 per cubic metre (1000 litres).

The municipality is providing the new units in response to the ongoing drought conditions in the County, which may—according to the Quinte Conservation Authority—persist until winter.
