Two people injured in collision

Two people were transported to hospital following a collision near the Sandbanks Provincial Park early Friday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment officers, with the assistance of the Prince Edward County Fire Department and paramedics, responded to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 18 near Outlet Road, Aug 1 at about 5:15 p.m.
“The police investigation revealed that a motorcycle travelling north bound on County Road 18 had entered the south bound lane, colliding with a camper trailer being towed by a pick-up truck,” said Const. Anthony Mann.
Mann said both motorcycle occupants were transported to hospital. A 43-year old Stirling man suffered life threatening injuries. A 40-year old Picton woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing.
