Two rescued from overturned kayak

Prince Edward County emergency services responded to a boater in distress call Saturday afternoon in the Adolphus Reach area.

At approximately 3:13 p.m., Prince Edward County OPP, firefighters and emergency medical services were called to Birch Lane, past Lake on the Mountain. Prince Edward County firefighters were able to reach an overturned kayak and get a male and female back to shore.

Police report the female was taken to hospital as a precaution. The male was not injured.

    No mention of Will Crouch going out on a canoe and towing the folk back to shore before our vaunted emergency services arrived? Shame on them!!
