Undefeated Wellington Midget Lynx win season championship

The Wellington Midget Lynx team completed an undefeated season and captured their third straight league championship in Melrose on the weekend. Game 1 was 14-1 against Brighton, Game 2, 17-4 against Melrose, Game 3 was 23-3 against Melrose and they won the championship game 10-3 against Quinte West.
“We played great all season,” said coach Dave Simpson. “Our pitching and hitting was great. These guys worked hard all year and came to the ballpark with great enthusiasm. I was really proud of these guys.” – Photo submitted.
