Rain dogged this year’s Picton Fair following a sunny Friday afternoon opening, resulting in reduced crowds that made the best of the weekend anyway. Torrential rain saw the midway closed early, and the cancellation of several events.
Warm ups were available at the Tim Hortons mobile coffee trailer. Patrons supported Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital with funds from every coffee and hot chocolate purchased going to the Foundation.
There were no sweets at the trailer, but those who make cakes and pies and those who eat them were happy to meet Saturday for the 8th annual Bake Off Challenge, also raising funds for the hospital foundation to go toward equipment needs. (Briar Boyce photos)
