Water main repairs on Main and Paul, Picton

The Water and Wastewater Department is repairing a water main break on Picton Main Street near the intersection of Paul Street.
Repairs are expected to be complete late Monday afternoon. Lane restrictions will be in place. Motorists are asked to avoid the construction area and, if possible, detour around the work using Paul, Jane and Johnson streets.
The repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents living in the area may experience a partial or complete loss of pressure and/or coloured water while construction is taking place.
To address pressure loss and the potential of coloured water, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once maintenance is complete and regular water service is restored.
