Watermain repairs at East Mary and Wellington today

East Mary Street will be closed today at Bridge Street with local traffic only from Bridge Street. The Water and Wastewater Department repairing a watermain break between Bridge and York streets in Picton.

Repairs are expected to be complete by 5 p.m.

The County is also aware of a watermain break affecting residents west of 459 Wellington Main Street, Skiff Cove Road, and all residents within Wellington on the Lake.

Water pressure will be restored as soon as possible.

The repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, residents may experience temporary loss of water service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once repairs are complete and water service is restored.
