Wellington Beach unsafe for swimming
Administrator | Jun 26, 2020 | Comments 0
Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) has posted Wellington Beach as unsafe for swimming, as of Friday, June 26.
The HPEPH monitors the quality of beach water at designated public beaches through collection and analyses of water samples. Samples are analyzed at a public health laboratory for the presence of E.coli bacteria. When E. coli bacteria levels exceed the provincial standard, the beach is considered unsafe for swimming, and a warning notice is issued by HPEPH.
