Women’s Institute donations support County children

The Prince Edward County Women’s Institute presented financial support to three County projects last week, including a $2,500 donation to support the computer learning services at the Consecon Branch Public Library. The Prince Edward Fitness and Aquatic Centre’s Swim to Survive learning program is administered to almost all Grade 3 students in the County. Jo-anne Munro-Cape and Krista Lyons, of PELA Social Services, receive a $500 donation toward the Good Back Pack program from W.I. members Joan Williams, Wilma deWolde and Nancy Wood. The program provides grade appropriate school supplies for elementary aged children in need.
