Work on Highway 33 Picton to ferry begins Aug. 18

The Ministry of Transportation is carrying out a construction project on Highway 33 from 1.1 km east of County Road 49 in Picton to the Glenora Ferry.
The project is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, Aug. 18 and is expected to be completed by October 2020.
The contractor, J. & P. Leveque Bros. Haulage, is undertaking the work, which includes paving, storm sewer clean out, culvert rehabilitation/ cleanout, and guide rail repair.
Lane closures are required and will generally commence at various locations within the construction limits from a half hour after sunrise to a half hour before sunset, Monday to Thursday.
Lane closures on Friday will be in place from a half hour after sunrise to noon, with the exception of the West Glenora Ferry Dock to Lake on the Mountain Road, where there will be no lane closures on Fridays.
