Families celebrated the season at Prince Edward County’s Fall Heritage Day while giving thanks to the harvest with family and friends this holiday weekend.
The Quinte Draft Horse Association celebrated its 28th anniversary with the annual event held at the Larry Everall Farm. Horse teams from across the Quinte area came to hook up teams of horses and antique tractor equipment to demonstrate how they once worked the land.
The day also featured wagons rides, a petting zoo, flywheels, corn shelling, binders and thrashing machines. Visitors also enjoyed entertainment, chili, hot dogs and homemade pie.
