$50,000 reward to find man missing for seven years

Jonathan Fowler

Seven years after Jonathan Fowler’s disappearance, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to pursue investigative leads, and a $50,000 reward remains available for information.

The Prince Edward County OPP Crime Unit is conducting the investigation, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB). The OPP states foul play cannot be ruled out in Jonathan’s disappearance.

Jonathan, who would now be 40 years old, was last seen in Picton in July 2019. He was known to use several names and aliases, including Jon Fowler, Joshua MacDonald, “Johnny Boy,” and combinations of those names. He also used the first name Daniel and the surname Shewan.

Jonathan is described as:
• 6’2″ (188 cm)
• Slim/average build
• Brown hair – short in either a buzz cut or shaved head
• Sometimes had a mustache
• Hazel eyes
• Multiple tattoos on arms and chest

He was known to frequent the Picton, Napanee, Kingston and Denbigh areas.

“Seven years have passed, but our commitment to finding answers for Jonathan’s family has not changed,” said Detective Inspector Marty McConnell, CIB. “We believe someone has information that could make a difference in this investigation.”

The Government of Ontario continues to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for his disappearance.

Anyone with information regarding his disappearance or whereabouts is urged to contact the Prince Edward County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or ontariocrimestoppers.ca
