Deborah Kimmett and Kim Pollard brought the house down at Mt. Tabor Saturday night engaging their audience in powerful song and forget-all-your-worries laughter.
Kimmett, a Second City comedy veteran and a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, stormed the stage with hilarious and touching tales in a brilliant dance of storytelling and humour, serenaded by soulful tunes from Pollard.
Kimmett, known as One Funny Lady, delivered gut-busting, pee-your-pants funny and emotional stories from her daily life, her books and her writings under way.
She is the author of three books, “Outrunning Crazy”, Reality is Over-Rated”, and “That Which Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Funnier”, and is currently developing a funny and poingnat play called a Woman of No Fixed Address.
Their next show is in Toronto on Sunday, Jan. 24 at the Social Capitol Theatre.
Kimmett, also a sought-after emcee and motivational speaker, also coaches people who want to write by helping them discover their creativity through bootcamps, podcasts and online writing toolkits.
