Apply to serve on a County board or committee

The municipality is seeking citizens who want to volunteer skills and knowledge serving on one of the many County of Prince Edward boards or committees.
“We value our residents and the important contributions they make to our municipality,” said Mayor Steve Ferguson. “We encourage people to get involved and share their expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm.”
Citizen committees provide council and staff with input about a wide variety of subjects through discussions, presentations, and recommendations. Some committees also organize and participate in community events.
Deadline for application is Friday, Jan. 18.
The County is seeking members for these groups:
Ward Recreation Committees and Boards
Picton Recreation Committee
Bloomfield/Hallowell Recreation Committee
Wellington Recreation Committee
Ameliasburgh Recreation Committee
Athol Recreation Committee
Sophiasburgh Recreation Committee
Hillier Recreation Committee
North Marysburgh Recreation Committee
South Marysburgh Recreation Board
Statutory/Advisory Committees and Boards
Accessibility Advisory Committee 7 required

Cemetery Advisory Committee 4 required

To apply for a position, download the application form posted online http://bit.ly/CommitteeApplicationForm, fill it out, and return it to the Clerk’s Office on the second floor of Shire Hall (332 Picton Main Street, Picton) by 5 pm on Friday, Jan. 18.
