Paige Willis, of Ottawa, accepts a $20 Books & Company gift certificate from volunteer Sandra Goranson for being the 1,000th visitor to the 20th annual Art in the County exhibition and sale. Willis is on vacation with her family in the County. The show is open daily from 10a.m. to 6p.m. (until 5p.m. Sunday, and 3p.m. on July 14th) showcasing art works of more than 70 Prince Edward County artists.
As part of this year’s new Artist in Residence program, artists are on-site Friday, Saturday and Sunday in a mini-studio to interact with visitors about their art and process. Friday’s guest is felt and fibre artist, Lesley Snyder; Saturday will be painter and AITC Chair, Claudia Jean Mccabe, SCA, and Sunday will feature painter Ken Flitton.
