Spirits were bright at Wellings of Picton as the retirement community presented $4,775 to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation (PECMHF).
The funds were raised in an online auction and a Christmas Bazaar where notably, a popular white elephant table raised $1,400 toward the overall result.
Tracey Cronkright, general manager of Wellings of Picton, thanks the community for supporting both the events and extended gratitude to those who helped organize the festive fundraisers.
“A big thanks to our committee members and all the local vendors and businesses who have contributed time, set up a table or donated an auction item to make our efforts a success,” said Cronkright.
The effort speaks to the importance of community involvement and the impact it has on the quality of life for residents and visitors to the County said Shannon Coull, executive director of the PECMH Foundation.
“We are so grateful for the generosity shown to us by our friends living at Wellings who continue to creatively and passionately invest in the future of health care delivery at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital.”
The foundation is a charitable organization whose mission is to raise money to advance health care for the people of Prince Edward County and the patients of the hospital.
