Banks help QHC Imagine $10 million

CHEERS! to community leaders such as those at Scotiabank. Thanks to them, the Imagine Campaign accomplished exactly what it set out to do – raise $10 million to buy diagnostic equipment for all QHC hospital sites.
Under the Imagine Campaign stewardship an MRI was installed at Belleville hospital along with a CT scanner upgrade; a new CT scanner was installed at Trenton Memorial Hospital; digital radiography suites were established in three hospitals including the newly-renovated emergency department at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital; a PACS system for diagnostics was put in place linking all hospital sites (with PECMH being the first to go online) and physician offices for improved service to patients.

Scotiabank’s fourth and final installment to the Imagine Campaign was presented last week in Wellington. The cheque for $25,000 completes the bank’s $100,000 pledge to the campaign to purchase Diagnostic Imaging Equipment for the Tri County Health Care Foundation. On hand for the cheque presentation were: Jim Bancroft, manager, Scotiabank in Wellington, Lyle Vanclief, campaign chair and Don Stanton, chair of the PECMH Foundation.
