Black River community wants its boat launch back
Administrator | Sep 11, 2013 | Comments 1
As of Aug 1/13, the Black River Community was disappointed at the short sightedness of the closure of the boat launch at the Black River Cheese Factory.
The local neighbours disapprove of this decision and are irate and feel the launch is just as important to us as is the factory. The launch has been part of our community for many, many years. It is enjoyed and used by neighbours, commercial fishermen, MNR , County residents and tourists all who in turn support the Cheese Factory .
There was a small notice posted at the launch only a few days before they closed it. There are many boaters still trying to access the launch and are surprised and angry at the closure. We would like to see the boat launch re-opened.

I totally agree with Karen ! This is the only launch with calm water needed to load smaller boats easily. Loading a 16′ boat with 2′ waves rolling in is almost impossible.
Please reconsider re-opening with a donation box and user assumes all responsibility sign located nearby. It would be greatly appreciated by many BRC customers !
