Boil water advisory for Ameliasburgh has been lifted

UPDATE: A boil water advisory issued for the Ameliasburg water system due to a loss of pressure. has been lifted Notices were hand delivered to affected homes.
Hastings and Prince Edward Health Unit Medical Officer Richard Schabas had advised users of the water to bring water to a rapid boil for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw food and making ice.
The advisory measure is in place until bacteriological tests prove the water to be safe.
The County notes that while repairs are being conducted, there is a possibility of water pressure fluctuation or discolouration.
When the advisory is lifted, notification will be sent to affected customers and local media outlets.
