Canada Post investigating Tinsley campaign delivery concerns

Belleville–Canada Post has launched an investigation of the circumstances surrounding a possible irregularity with the delivery of mail to the Peter Tinsley Liberal Campaign.

The investigation is being conducted by the Corporate Security and Investigative Branch (Postal Inspectors) of Canada Post.

Brian Smith, Campaign Manager for Peter Tinsley, asks that anyone who has directed mail to the Peter Tinsley campaign contact the Campaign Office at 613-966-6661 for verification of receipt.

“Given the short time frame during which an election campaign is conducted, the timely receipt of mail is critical. We were alerted by several individuals that they had sent mail to the campaign which has not been received.  It is extremely concerning to us that correspondence to our campaign by mail cannot be accounted for.  We look forward to a Canada Post investigation getting to the bottom of this.”
