When 70-year-old great-grandmother Faustina Burness took her lottery ticket to the store to have it validated, the store employees celebrated with her. The Carrying Place resident won $50,000 playing an Instant Bingo Doubler ticket.
“I love playing BINGO – you get a lot of entertainment value, because it takes a while to play the ticket,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “When I revealed all these boxes, I wondered what was going on!”
Her ticket was purchased at Free Flow Petroleum in Carrying Place.
“This is so exciting and overwhelming. It’s free money I didn’t have to earn. When you work most of your life you know it’s hard to come by money like this so fast,” she smiled.
Tina plans to share her winnings with her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
“I’m so proud of them all. I’ll save the rest for a little trip or something special with my husband when it’s safe again,” she concluded.
Instant Bingo Doubler tickets are $5 a play and the top prize is $100,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.86.
