Carrying Place swing bridge to close for repairs June 20-23

The Carrying Place swing bridge will be temporarily closed from the evening of June 20 to the morning of June 23 (7p.m. to 6 a.m. each day) to allow maintenance work on the bridge.
The swing bridge connects County Road 33 (Loyalist Parkway) across the Murray Canal, just north of Carrying Place.
Traffic will be closed in both directions during the repairs. An alternate crossing is available via the Brighton Road Swing Bridge on County road 64, about five kms to the west.
It is expected boat navigation will not be affected by the closure.
