Celebrate 2011 a spectacular gala on ice

The Prince Edward County and Quinte Skating Club members delighted fans, friends and family Saturday presenting two gala shows at the Wellington Arena.
More than 140 local skaters shared the ice with 2011 Canadian Pairs Champions – Dylan Moscovitch and Kirsten Moore-Towers; 2011 Canadian Dance Champions – Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier; 2011 Canadian Senior Synchronized Skating Champions – Nexxice and the County’s own Peter O’Brien, the 2011 Junior Men’s Bronze Medalist.
Celebrate 2011 …When Grunge Meets Glam was the club’s 5th annual show, featured professional lighting, stunning rented costumes, elite guest skaters and tons of practice time to provide a ‘big city production’ right here at home, says County skate club president Susan Allison.

Excellent show – first class all the way, anyone that missed the show do not realize the caliber of the skaters that they missed. The singers, the artist, and the local talent as well were all fantastic.

Spectacular Show!! Canadian Champions along with local skaters were grinning ear to ear!! Congrats to Susan Allison and the whole club for a wonderful show. Wonderful to showcase our new community centre which was almost filled to capacity for both shows.
