Centennial Park Northport closed to year end

Centennial Park in Northport (1417B County Road 15) will be closed to the public beginning Wednesday, Oct. 21 for the rest of the year.
Contractors are installing a new ramp and pier dock in the park and will use the park as a staging area.
Centennial Park is to remain closed for the remainder of 2020. The work is expected take place between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm Monday through Friday.
The municipality reports the contractor will be operating heavy equipment in the park and noise levels may be elevated for the duration of the work as the contractor installs pier sheet piling.

I am very happy to see this work starting. It is probably a good time to do it because the lake level is quite low – here’s to next year!
