Hospice Prince Edward CHEERS! the Picton Kiwanis Club members, for their donation of $175 that supported the purchase of a wheelchair for use in the residential hospice, located on Downes Avenue in Picton. From left: Hospice board member Doug Snider, Kiwanis members Loretta Salet, Ron Hicks and Norman Leggett, with Hospice executive director Nancy Parks.
An added surprise came from Kiwanis member Loretta Salet, who presented Hospice executive director Nancy Parks with a thousand dollar bill in memory of her mother, Anna. She had saved 10 of these for a rainy day, and after her mom passed, Loretta decided to present one to a charity close to her heart.
